Hi, everyone!  My name is Mr. Clarke, and I'm so excited to be teaching second grade again this year!  I grew up in Skokie, Illinois, but since then, I have lived in Iowa, Ecuador, California, Washington, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.  I now live in Skokie again, and am looking forward to my fifth year with District 63 and at Melzer.  This will be my fourth year teaching second grade.

When I'm not teaching, I like spending time with my family, reading, making homemade pizza, and exploring nature by hiking, camping, and birdwatching.

I am excited to welcome all my new second graders for our new school year in Room 210!  This year, we will learn how to add and subtract three-digit numbers, craft amazing stories and poems, and learn about the way the earth changes and affects communities.  I look forward to a year of helping each student explore their interests and have an enjoyable school year.
