Principal Brian Gariti
Brian Gariti brings eight years of successful experience as an Assistant Principal within District 63, having served at both Gemini Middle School and Apollo Elementary School. His background also includes teaching 5th grade at Euclid Elementary in River Trails School District 26.
Throughout his career in the District, Mr. Gariti has demonstrated a positive, people-oriented approach to leadership. He is known for building strong, trusting relationships with students and families and for his unwavering commitment to academic success within his "whole child" approach to educating children.
Gariti’s deep roots in D63 and his student-centered focus are wonderful assets for Melzer.

Dear Melzer Families,
It is a privilege to start my first year as principal at Melzer School. I am excited to continue my commitment to working with students, staff, and families in District 63.
Melzer School is an incredible place for students to learn and grow academically, socially, and emotionally. It also offers a dedicated staff alongside a safe, culturally diverse, and inclusive environment.
Melzer’s past and future success go beyond the classroom. The strong family partnerships and involvement between home and school greatly contribute to Melzer being such a special place. I encourage families to continue the positive collaboration as we work together to support our students.
